We are Milene Palha and the wonderful Deuza Mendes, the dynamic mother-daughter duo behind Sweet & Salty Brazil, your ultimate destination for artisanal sweets and savory delights.

Our story begins with a lifelong love affair with food, nurtured in the heart of our family kitchen in Brazil. From a young age, I had the privilege of watching my incredible mother, Dona Deuza, work her magic, conjuring up mouthwatering Brazilian dishes, sweets, and savory creations. Not only was she my culinary muse, but she also embarked on a culinary journey to support me and my siblings by selling her scrumptious treats right from our home.

Inspired by my mother's passion and dedication, I decided to pursue my own culinary dreams. In 2016, upon arriving in the beautiful land of Canada, I embarked on a culinary adventure of my own, working for restaurants and enrolling in The Culinary Arts School of Ontario. My culinary journey later took me to Brazil, where I specialized in the art of confectionery.

Today, we're living out a cherished dream: mother and daughter, united in our love for cooking and ready to share it with our Brazilian community and food enthusiasts alike.
